I am an Emeritus Professor of English Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at the Universitat de Barcelona and the founder of the GRAL Research Group. My principal research interests in second language acquisition include the age factor, young learners, individual differences, and the role of input both inside and outside the classroom. I have coordinated and participated in numerous competitive national (e.g., the BAF project) and international (the ELLiE project) research projects. I have taught courses in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, and SLA in the English studies degree programme, as well as SLA in the LAALCM Master’s programme.
